Flexible modular wireless WLAN based architecture combining all relevant of sensors, controllers and actuators in one software application.

Easy and fast installation - no professional electricians are required and no cables for data transmission have to be installed.

SENECT control units can monitor all relevant water parameters (e.g. O2, water level, Redox value (ORP), salinity, temperature) and grant direct access to the current measurement values, the data record, or the settings. via WLAN. Simultaneously alarm messages can be sent via push messages or emails, e.g. when parameters exceed or fall below thresholds.

Thanks to these versatile features, the SENECT control units can fulfill nearly every task in aquaculture systems.


Control of aeration

Long-term stable measurements with the optical O2S oxygen sensor make it possible to switch on the aeration only, when this is necessary. This saves energy and therefore directly reduces operation costs. Additionally, mechanical wear out is reduced and (depending on the aerator type and system) – also the pH effect of aeration (CO2-degassing) is minimized.


Automatic fish feeder control

The SENECT control units are equipped with a powerful fish feeder menu:

  • Different time modes (e.g. at fixed times or in defined intervals)
  • Calibration possible: displaying the feed amount in (kilo)gramm / defining a daily ration
  • Oxygen: No feeding if the oxygen level is too low
  • In combination with oxygen dosing: increase oxygen concentration before the feeding starts
  • Temperature depending feeding (according to the data sheet of your feed supplier)

Oxygen dosing

If pure oxygen is used for the oxygenation, the exact dosing is essential to avoid fish health problems caused by over- or underdosing. The exact addition of oxygen can be controlled by the optical oxygen sensor O2S, solenoid valves and e.g. ceramic diffusors.


Drum filter control

The FILTER|CONTROL and the AQUACULTURE|CONTROL units can be used to control drum or belt filter. With its embedded intelligent control algorithms and reasonable settings, they enable a trouble-free and extreme reliable filter operation. Additionally, unnecessary mechanical wear-out is reduced, water- and energy-consumption minimized and manual maintenance intervals elongated – compared to the typical filter operation.

Some of the functions are:

  • Start of flushing induced by clogging of the filter mesh, compensated for water level changes of the aquaculture system
  • Intensive cleaning programme
  • EcoMode: saving up to 50% of water and energy
  • Intelligent emergency switch-off


Pump surveillance and emergency switch off

The measurement of the water level e.g. with the SENECT water level probe PS can also be used to monitor the hydraulic functioning of your system. With this information, it can be detected, when a pump stopps its operation or if the water level is too low, the pumps can be switched off to avoid damage due to the dry-run.



Ozone reactors need for their optimal operation the control of the ozone addition. By the measurement of the oxidation-reduction potential with the ORP sensor XT-1 this task can be fulfilled with the SENECT control units. Additional protection mechanisms like a maximum duration of the output port lead to a safe operation.


Beside these "typical for aquaculture" tasks, the SENECT control units can also be used for individualized regluation and control tasks. For example:

Switching output ports in relation to other output ports

Giving alarm signals also to other devices
